What gets fixed on-site

We handle the “house” systems, the ones that actually fail in inland Florida:

Why Highlands County is a mobile-repair market

And the climate creates work year-round. Sebring’s average July high is 91.4°F and the muggy stretch runs from late April to mid-November. Lap sealant that stays wet for weeks grows mildew under its edges and lifts. Rooftop air conditioners run all day against 79 percent humidity, so their condensate pans fill, their drains clog, and the first sign is water on the mattress. Slide seals that never fully dry let water into the floor. Then comes lightning season: Florida led the country in 2025 with 305 lightning events per square mile, and a surge through a resort pedestal kills converters and control boards on rigs that were fine at breakfast. How a service call works

1. Send what is wrong and where the rig sits. Year, make, model, what is failing, and the location: resort name and site number, fish camp and slip, storage lot and row, or your home address. Gate codes, visitor policies, and quiet hours matter when we pull in, so the more access detail, the smoother the visit.

2. We set the visit. The trip fee ($75 to $150 in Sebring, Avon Park, and Lake Placid) covers travel and the first diagnostic window. Our techs carry the parts that fix many calls on the spot: fuses, sealant, capacitors, anode rods, water pumps, thermocouples, and a spare converter.

3. Diagnosis comes before the quote. We test, meter, and inspect, no guessing, no quoting a water heater replacement when the fix is a $30 thermocouple. If it is a choice between fixing and replacing, we put real numbers on both and tell you which we would pick, then wait for your go-ahead. Florida law requires a written estimate for any repair over $150 on the work it covers (F.S. 559.905), and we write one up even when the law does not apply.

4. The fix happens, or the part gets ordered. Most common failures are repaired the same visit. When a part has to be special-ordered, know that RV parts supply is genuinely slow and it can take days; we set the return trip before we leave.
